Public Service Announcement: In Star Trek, every alternate reality exists. The Classics "Mirror, Mirror" episode, the 'Next Gen' episode where an infinite number of Enterprise-D's all start sharing the same space. In later seasons of Deep Space 9 Chief O'Brien isnt the O'Brien we started with, Ensign Kim is from an alternate dimension... etc, etc. An infinite number of possible realities depending on the events that happen and the choices you make and everyone else makes. So they all exist. But...

As the end of first decade of the 21st Century draws to a close. This is the "Reality" that we will be familiar with for future movies. This movie is technically number 11, so I call this "The 1. Reality" So the next one will be 1.2, 1.3 and so on, depends on how far Paramount wants to continue this "Reality".

I went with Captain Kirk, I went as Lieutenant Jadzia "Old Man" Dax. Only one dressed up from the 7-ish premire and at our 10-ish premire less than a handful dressed up. The movie was awesome!! All the current actors/actresses fit the characters perfectly. Awesome ship the Enterprise, so was Scotti in the clean water? Nailed Bones for sure! (Never thought I would say those words in my life). "Bones, I need you, badly". Lots and lots of easter eggs who have seen the movies and shows and read the books. [Flashback scene:] Botcon 07 We were at a parts party (its a get together at a hotel room that you try to find the wing, gun, shield, head, hand missing off of your transformer that you trade or buy or sell and talk about random stuff). About 10pm, Roberto Orci (screenwriter for Star Trek and both Transformers movies) knocked on the door invited us over to drink Hasbros alcohol with him. We talked about Transformers, we had just seen the movie, then we talked about Rescue Me and then since we had a mixed group of treks and non treks, girls and guys in the group the conversation turned into a Focus group for Star Trek 11. They were trying to re-invent the franchise like Bond so Paramount can make more money from the non-traditional geeks, but yet not alienate the fans of 40+ years. [present day:] They did their job.

So what I want to know, Since we have new classic. Can people who have the special effects goggles, not complain anymore about how the NX-Enterprise series looked newer than classic 1701 series? Special effects technology changes, so even tho it looks newer and awesome, Enterprise with Archer is there to tell a story. The origins of exploration of Star Fleet. The origins of the Federation, Phase Pistols instead of Phasers, transporters that didnt transport humans, Decon rooms to get rid of pathogens instead of transporters, Hull Plating instead of shields, Magnetic Grappeler cannons instead of tractor beams, The origin of the Mirror universe, Finding out the supermen of Khan wasnt in 1996, The Borg, And the British Tactical Officer joking about not seeing any flags (No flag, no country-Eddie Izzard). And remember the whole Temporal Cold War, So technically its in a different time-line than Classic anyway. So enjoy the story of the NX Class Enterprise. Star Trek is a storyline that has evolved and especially with this movie has made it enjoyable.

Even before the movie they had awesome trailers:
- Transformers Revenge of the Fallen
- 9021-JOE (sorry Im from the 80's, GI Joe's weren't twenty year olds models, Alot of the joe's back then were Vietnam vets) Wild Bill, Duke, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, etc
- and the next Harry Potter movie.

Optimus Prime to return as KARR Jan 21, 09

I know not too many people are keen on the Knight Rider reformat. The main reason I watch it, is for the homages and for one other idea that might come true within the next few weeks. Ever since the refomatted TV series started, KITT was programmed to "Transform" himself into any Ford Vehicle. So the next logical step is for KITT to become a Robot.

Well the next step just got alil bit closer January 21st. KARR is returning with an Exo-skeleton look. The original voice of KARR in 1982 was Peter Cullen and he's back in 2009 reprising the role. He also just happens to be the voice of Optimus Prime from the Transformers cartoon (84-87) and the Transformers movies (2007 & Jun 26th, 2009).

Kinda ironic.

Yet, looking at the preview I would say KARR even tho it may have elements to it, but he is NOT a knockoff to the Transformers Movie (tho most might argue). We had a glance of him during the Halloween episode. He looks more like Cylon (another of Glen Larson's ideas). KITT, an intelligent machine and his red bar of sliding light and humm sound was all inspired by Cylon's in his prior series BattleStar Galactica. Also, because KARR was 2 years before Prime. Its just a homage to another homage.

The show is just as bad as the original and the next generation of "Team Knight Rider". Probably, why the Series Finale will be Feb 25th after one season just like "Bionic Woman". But its interesting to watch where they go with what they have. I think the Battlestar Galactica Reformat just got my hopes up for all of Glen Larson's reformatted creations. Let's see "The Fall Guy" next. Just joking.

I referred sxyskeksis and tequiladawn into getting their CERT Certification and Sunday was their final exam .... A Mock Disaster Simulation.

I heard other's moan and scream and was wondering why it took so long for me to be rescued. But, I was in shock upstairs, and conscious standing on my own power to begin with. I had turned just in time to not have my face get the full force of debris and fire. Instead I had recieved cuts, burns and debris on my left arm and only a few minor cuts on my face.

When Team 2 finally got to my position they briefly checked me out. They found the glass in my arm, started to take me down to treatment on my own power. Just then I passed out, I lost too much blood. They scrambled with ideas, got a stretcher and got me down to treatment.

In treatment. I was first to arrive in the room. Unconscious and regaining consciousness from time to time. I heard another team had been assigned to Treatment. One of the team members splinted my arm bandaged my glass and cuts just like they should getting me ready for transport to the hospital. I couldnt really tell if Teki was in this group, but I thought maybe her voice was in the room. I could hear Asrah in this Team retrieving the other victim's name and doing preliminary codings before "The FIRE/EMS CREWS" got there. Then it became silent. I could hear her footsteps come toward me, and I could see her in my mind turning the corner and I could hear her moving into a position where she could see me. She was about to ask my name... And then it was like she jumped back 50 feet... Yet, I was on a stretcher, bandaged up, lain unconscious 8 Feet away from the wall and exclaimed... "That's Ken!"

It couldnt be helped, it took a little time to get back in character.

Good Job Asrah and Teki.

Sunday I got sick with the flu/cold/bug virus going around. Got home Monday after work. Slept, and watched tv out of the corner of my eye on my new bed. Stayed in bed, even tho my body ached my body was comfortable, filled up 2 botcon mugs and 4 kasey kahne cups and a clonetrooper glass with water, so I wouldnt have to get water as much... Tuesday was when I finally felt relief, at least I thought so. I started to sweat, I thought my fever broke and I was finally getting better, but my body had other plans. It was moving onto Phase 2, hacking up a lung. I didnt feel any sickness then so I went with Chad to movie nite at Teki & Ashrahs. Bought two cheeseburgers and a sprite. Nibbled on the cheeseburgers, even tho they went pretty fast, and then drank water with the cup I brought over. When we went home I was hyper on meds Im glad a police officer didnt do the hand/eye dui test on me I would have failed, But thats another story. So lately now my symptoms are fierce headaches, coughing, and weakness all over. Slept Wednesday, got to my moms at 3pm to pick up my check.

Wednesday I picked up a DVD recorder with a digital tuner to get ready for the signal from analog to digital transition thats already taking place for my apartment and WOW!! Right now they are dual broadcasting, to get set up for the switchover in February 2009. You still need a VHF/UHF attenae to recieve the signal but it doesnt matter where the ears are pointed you still get a crystal, almost better than cable signal. Channel 3, 10, 24, 33 (cable 5), 36 (cable 6) are all broadcasting with one main channel. While Channel 12 has 2, 12.1 the main channel and 12.2 which is their weather channel 675 on digital cable. And I can still pick up the stations that are analog. local channel 5, 8, 15, 28, 40, 49, and 51 is the spanish speaking channel. Which a few weeks ago I saw a show, the female interviewing people for the Las Vegas Star Trek Experience. Was pretty cool I got to understand the interviewer with the person being interviewed because they spoke english, then she would translate for her television audience.

One good thing I can say from being sick I cant smell my neighbor smoking. It seems like for now I'll move when my lease is up and move to a first floor apartment at the end of April.

and One bad thing, I hate my work ethic, came from my school attendence ethics. I hear other people calling in for a lot less, But I still work with hacking up a lung.

Once I get better, I need to go to Best Buy to pick up "Stargate Ark of Truth", and next week, "Battlestar Galactica season 3"

Just saying Hi. Because I've been swamped at work, with the weather and all it makes my job 3 times as hard. Also, just feeling a little stranded and alone during this holiday time.

I finally came up with an acronym for my DVD recorder. Because a DVR is without a disc, A DVD recorder usually is a computer drive So now I call it a TDR Television Disc Recorder. It's weird right now because the timer record menu is empty. Nothings on until after Christmas.

Transformers Botcon 08 is April 24-28th, In Cincinnati, Ohio. I dont think I will be able to make it to that one since it was moved up to spring.

Transformers The Animated Series, (produced in America) has all 26 episodes for season 1 completed way back at BotCon 07. Just waiting for them to start airing on Cartoon Network this Holiday season. Think of it as Transformers during Star Trek (22nd or 23rd century) Time period with sentient toasters. Even tho Josh claims he will like it, I believe after 10 minutes Josh is going to hate it. But I'll still watch it, I survived ALL of the Japan released American translated Transformers series from the turn of the Century... Robots in Disguise, Armada, Energon and Cybertron. All of these are anime. So far the 98 G1 episodes and 1986 movie, Beast wars and Beast Machines along with the 2007 movie are American produced.

Stargate Atlantis doesnt seem affected by the writers strike... 10 shows, 3 weeks off for a climatic half season then the final 10 episodes for season 4. Also SG1 movies will soon be hitting scifi channel, how soon? Havent heard...

Battlestar Galactica on the other hand will be affected somewhat by the writers strike. They closed production, but since its a sci-fi (on location more episodes get made). I havent heard how many episodes they completed before universal said turn out the lights. Estimated March or April will start their half-season, after SGA finishes their season. Rewatching season 3 of BSG was fantastico and any episodes will be a happy time.

South Park, I believe they wont have to deal with the writers strike and will continue spoofing, prolly about the writers strike also by March or April.

Heroes... Well Ive been watching, but not to closely. Maybe I'll watch all 11 episodes in a marathon after next week's so-called "season finale". And it will have more of an impact on me.

My weekend report

Well I survived my weekend (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday). Everything basically worked out. After work Sunday night. I spent 7am till about 1:30 pm in front of the County Court House for Preparedness Day, which the Governor spoke at, not too much of an audience. It basically turned into a military, law enforcement and first responders going around giving and receiving tours and checking out what everyone else had on their vehicles for the next incident. When I got home I couldnt sleep, so I tried to watch every possible comedy or musical movie I have to stop the Butterflies doing the Time Warp inside my stomach, nothing worked. I ended up watching "Three's Company" to take my mind off of things.

Tuesday, I left my phone at home, which meant I had no concept of time and walked 4 blocks to the US Court House. I reported for Jury Selection at 7:30 am. It was kinda fun, had a few butterflies. But they seemed to subside after awhile. I found out I knew too much from my volunteer work with the county to continue. By about noon they had found their 12 +one, so I was dismissed. So I went home charted out my "Transformers Tactical" fanfic characters some more, watched some dvd's and slept. Today, well I was sorta up and sleeping at odd hours so its kinda tough to say which day it was, but I got insurance through work, I pay half, work pays other half. Got my paycheck, paid rent, and went around window shopping, chatted with Albert, returned Mom's car and fell asleep, maybe I slept too well. I got a late start getting back to work. But made it in record time, better than some. But not going to make a habit out of this.

Well for those of you who made it here, thanks. As some of you know I follow nascar and well its prolly almost the best way to describe America. It is my belief that America was founded as a Commercial Republic, basically so that one person does not control everything. That here it's not a Monopoly (heh, I wonder why that game does so well in America). Tho lately, Nascar in order to find new sponsors for the sport, have started monopoly ideas and trying to promise the new sponsors of like Nascar's top division Now known as the Nextel Cup. When Nextel came aboard Nascar promised that those companies sponsoring the series would have control over its market, the ones already in will be allowed to continue (Cingular & Alltel). But no one could change their name or come in new to the sport, basically making it a monopoly with their field of products. Now the lower division, Busch Series, Busch beer is trying to leave sponsoring this division, Who will come in rumors have it Walmart, Subway, and a few others but no one is biting because of the legal battles with AT&T Mobility and Nextel Sprint yet.

Next, Toyota Camry's I believe they should be raced in Nascar. Yes they are a foreign Company, but unlike most American Cars, they are made in America. Ford, Chevy and Dodge along with help from Nafta send their cars to Canada or Mexico to be made. So why not have Toyota Camrys racin around the track. Tho in my opinion they should have waited till the Car of Tomorrow was fully implemented, because now making car of yesterday and Car of tomorrow is costly and tough for teams to do. Tho if it went how it was planned COT cars would not have been all season long till 2010. But things changed and 2008 will be their first full season. Just look at Michael Waltrip Racing One or two cars going home of his 3 car stable only Daytona 500, Pocono 500 & Watkins Glen were the only 3 races so far he's had all 3 cars in the race. Tho next year with Gibbs (Hamlin, Stewart and Kyle Busch) heading toward Toyota it should be an exciting year. And Fedex and UPS will be driven by Toyota

On the engine front, why are so many cars blowing up. Think about it, this is the first year that Nascar raced with Unleaded fuel. The leaded fuel had lubricants to keep the engine running better. Also new engine with the COT, trying to get used to it. But soon maybe by 2011 we may run on corn. Yes it kills me that Hendrick and Roush, well Roush-Fenway does so well, another monopoly ideal that I wish would go away. And in essense with the 4 car teams by 2010 it will slowly. I wish it was 3 car teams by 2010.

Nascar could be a true model of a commercial Republic again, yes their are rules and I'm all about rules, but, yet we have the freedom to cheer for who you want, make puns, and tatoo 8's all over our bodies, (fun, since he wont be driving the 8 car next year, I learned the car number isnt the drivers identity long ago, its the car owners). Lets keep the Monopoly game at home on the shelf. And race and buy what we want and not have sponsor monopolies and let it be America's sport.

To keep everyone up to date. Transformers Movie Viewer Counter: 4... June 28th Early Hasbro Botcon Premire in Rhode Island at 10:30pm with hundreds of other Trans-fans. After it was officially released I seem to catch it on every third day.... July 3rd, Opening afternoon West Warren with Chad on our Tuesday double feature with Transformers and Fantastic 4-2 (the answer to everything), Then on July 6th West Warren, I watched it with most of my cousins, of which several girls and 2 guys of whom are in the Air Force and owns Ford Mustangs (Barricade), they all enjoyed themselves. Then July 9th Warren Oldtown, I watched it with my little brother Kevin, my memories of him and Transformers were not the best but then again he was my fast, onery brother... When he was about 3 or 4 he would grab Air Raid or Blades and start running toward the laundary room, attempting to throw them in the sump pump. He made it twice, Those two were then decommissioned from Autobot Active Service and placed to his Reserve Forces.

If you're debating watching Transformers. Of course, I would recommend it. Without giving any spoilers away.... It's summer blockbuster, action, car chases, comedy, Its a toy commercial, a car commercial, a recruitment commercial, advertisement commercial and its a Public Safety Announcement. But then again what Independence Day movie hit isnt... Its Michael Bay's The Boy and the girl, It's Stephen Speilbergs The Boy and his alien robot car, It's Jurassic Park with vehicles as the scaries and friendlies. and its the screenwriters who grew up on Generation 1. While not everything is a direct link to G1, They did a good job capturing of what I was looking for. Dont forget this movie offers geek Sex Ed 101, (what every geeky Transformer boy needs).

My main concerns going into the movie wasnt an issue when I finally got there. The Autobots not being their G1 alt-forms issue faded away. Because with Herbie it would be overkill and they did a nice sidenote homage to Jazz and Bumblebee (Since Porsche and VW wasn't robot friendly, liscencing's a Bee-otch). Ironhide and Ratchet well... umm yeah, vans, sure... And well, Prime he's just not safe as a cab-over, "Safety First, there's only one seatbelt and he's driving". That's why cab-overs are so obsolete now, I know we was on the road for 56 hours.

Also, Prime's trailer, not so big of a problem. I wasnt too fond of "part-formers", G1 Prime, Ultra Magnus and Omega Supreme are a few examples. The robot is many parts but transforming isnt directly related to one piece. Size-mass shifting (Megatron, Blaster, Soundwave and Prime's Trailer to nothing-ness) not believable. So Prime Bob-tailin' is fine by me. The flames, claws and faces werent too much of a disappointment or a distraction afterall.

Megatron's form was believable, Starscream the F-15 retiring from active service so yeah Raptors, Blackout (my interpetation of Soundwave for the 1st movie), Bonecrusher (Let's rollerblade), Devastator (Brawl- the tank), Scorponok, Frenzy works as a CD boombox (think ANIMAL muppet show). My biggest concern about Barricade a 'con Police car, umm well, not an issue anymore, (that's what happens when you drink alcohol with the screenwriter at botcon).

The only problems I had were completely new concerns. Can we all take 5 steps back, we're TOO CLOSE. Who launched that missle? who threw that punch? Where did Devastator's round wind up? Secondly, I want a Star Trek VI time index clock on screen, you'll understand when you see it. The last one isnt much of one since were just introducing the franchise to the general public, and the Transformers will be most of the cast with more speaking lines in the next movie.

And yes Lindsey Lohan was spotted outside Jazz's Trailer. (Inside screenwriters joke)

So if I wake up early enough this afternoon. I may just watch transformers again on The Third Day.

Transformers Hasbro

Behind the scenes at Sunday's Hasbro Product Unvieling Panel for 2008 revealed The Animated series on the cartoon network. (Sorry couldnt take pictures). It's not quite exactly what I had hoped for. But the movie did better than I had hoped too. So I will give it a chance. Just thought youd like to know Weird Al will be Wreck Gar as a trash truck. Grimlock and 2 other dinobots will be there. Black Arachnia, as a Decepticon, a different background story for her. Blitzwing will finally be back in this one as a triple changer. Alot of G1 inspired homages and characters but will not be G1.

The Classics will continue and they have slated Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Prowl, with possible repaints Red Alert, Bluestreak and Smokescreen. And planning for Octane triple changer, Hercules cargo style plane & tanker truck of the Ultra class. Hope Broadside (aircraft carrier/Jet) is on that list.

Life still not normal yet. Still on a high.

Blackout & Frenzy hits close to home...

Well after getting to BOTCON in Rhode Island. Frenzy and Blackout crashes my laptop with a virus so I lost all my files and so now I know why I like notebook paper. Tho it did get me out in the real world alil more. I went to a "parts party" where we trade heads/guns/body accessories that we may need for something that we have extras in. After about an hour Bob Orci, the co-writer of Transformers stops by with alcohol and says I need help finishing this off. So the Canadians asked about Kansas, nuts and Jericho at first, and how the grass isnt that green (boy that was wierd coming back and all the rain had turned the grass green). We also talked about Transformers, since of course he co-wrote it. And it turned to Star Trek (his next writing job). With Transformers he was wondering if he had won over the fans. But by all the buzz at Botcon he won it. Tho with Star Trek he's not worried about the fans, he has a secret weapon which he wouldnt reveal to us to win over the fans. (Maybe I should have slept with him)? We talked till about 3:15 am. Prolly the greatest part was when we got into the elevator. Asked for my email addy. Then he wondered why it didnt take him to his floor before taking me to the lobby. I said "The elevator is sentient and it doesnt want me to stalk you". He laughed.

Maybe now the big thing with execs and film studios main drive is going after the general audience. To win the females and people who have gotten out of the franchise. Tho if thats the case Michael Bay why then did you allow Arcee to be cut from the movie. Yes it would have created other problems like do the robots have sex. But hey you would have their attention, and geeks always love girls in heavy metal. Got back Monday night. Monday nite and Tuesday I have trying to get my laptop back up to speed. Yep, so got some more collectibles and stories. Now next Animefest, and rebuilding all the files, I like paper.

Just got back from the early viewing of Transformers The Movie at botcon. And wow. Whenever the US theater release (July 2nd, 3rd or 4th) for Transformers release isnt soon enough. WOW!!!!

On a non-spoiler storyline note: A homage indirectly or directly, Colonel Sharp of GI JOE makes an appearance. No more hints, sorry?!!

Tho, if I am back in Wichita by Monday or Tuesday night, Im off if anyone would like to go, I'm game.

Botcon travel day 2 and 3

New London, Connecticut, finally, about an hour ago. We had some nice scenery moments since I had been on last... (being lost). Left Chicago about noon after walking around town getting a few pics and a Chicago Fire T-Shirt. Found Engine 98 and Ambulance 11. Ate at a chicago pizza place had a cheese pizza. Left and drove almost 12 hours. (It was my fault because we crossed the eastern time zone. Danville, Pennsylvania (with no internet, at least I couldnt connect), was where we ended up Tuesday night, not quite New Jersey like Josh had hoped. There has been alot of construction on the Interstate. Something I deemed it "Backwards Skate" (Semi's/busses on left lane and cars on right side) Since here on the east coast its forbidden for trucks to drive in the left lane.

After we woke up. We got back on the road about 10am, and got into New York about 1:30 by ferry. Walked from 1:30 till about 8:30 around NYC. Go, Go, Go was Joshs motto. Seen several Fire Trucks, got a few FDNY baseball caps. Went to Fao schwarz for josh to play his "BIG" piano. Then over to the apple store. Got my sister's B-day presents, Found an 80 dollar 501st Legion Clone Trooper Uniform in Soho at a Costume Shop (tho I didnt buy it). There was a guy was dressed as a girl. I smiled and a ton more fire trucks. And then it started raining as we left the ferry back to our parking.

Maps have way more flaws than assistance....

By the way, Tomorrow after I watch the movie, Im only going to say if I like it or not.

On another note, Here's the next Transformers Animated series debute in spring of 2008... Umm did I have a great idea or what.... (Reminds me of The Mighty Ducks disney cartoon Series) Prime, Ratchet, Bumblebee, Prowl, and Bulkhead ( FIRE, EMS, Police and Military Safety) They were able to do what I could not, have only 5 autobots instead of 21.

Travel update: botcon07

Well, for those of you who know, Im on my way to Rhode Island, finally. Left about 8:30 this morning. We made it to Chicago by 8:30 this evening. 12 hours of driving, Kinda an intimidating city, I could definately get lost. Seen a ton of Police Cars, and a pickup truck utility police vehicle, but no CFD's yet. Now I know why the Fire Department went with the smaller trucks Snorkel, engines and rescues. The streets are mostly the size of a side street of wichita barely parking on both sides of the street and barely fitting 2 cars driving. Josh went out for a few hours. Im so not much a social butterfly. Tho We're roaming the streets of Chicago tomorrow morning. And then prolly, leaving for NJ/NY area in the afternoon for possibly another 12 hours on the road.

Kayley Is now the Chief Medical Officer of Atlantis, while re-watching/recording it. I noticed Jewel Staite name again. I'm like where was she? I couldnt believe it was her. She looked totally different, to me at least. I was sad about Dr Carson Beckett "dying"? Because he was closest to my personality with my interaction with others. But why does Stargate have it fixed that Medical Doctors cant survive, its a conspiracy. Tho after re-watching it again. Im cool that she's onboard the Atlantis. I liked/crushed her during Firefly, Wonderfalls and Serenity. Im glad I dont have to wait many months before season 4 of Atlantis... September.

I was happy about Rodney being shut-out by the Colonel of the Apollo. "I'll be surprised when I read your autobiography."

This is my final day at home, before my trip to Rhode Island. Hope to be online thru-out my vacation.

Well shortly I'll be on the road heading towards Rhode Island. Next Thursday night (a week from tomorrow), cant believe its so close.
I just found out Saturday night is no longer a Awards Banquet. It's now an Award Party with a cash bar contail hour (??? Art, what the hell is that) with an 80's local band, The Cusaks, and then around 9, we have a concert with Stan Bush, the one who sang and had a video, "You got the touch", for the original 80's Transformers Movie.

Also, my sisters back from Czeck Republic and 4 people sharing one car for now. We'll catch ya later just wanted to drop a post

Autobots Transform and roll to Rhode Island

T-minus 2 weeks and counting before Josh and I go on my first vacation out of state roadtrip to rhode island. For Botcon07. We're renting a Chevy Impala I would like to christen it Fidgett, he passed away almost a year ago. He would loved to have gone. Were stopping at KC, St Louis, Chicago, and New York. The reason of Botcon07, every type of robot and more, with a major in Transformers, with a special viewing of the new live-action movie June 28th.

Btw, some of the toys remind me of metallic animals. "Beast Machines". Jazz the "Donnie Darko" rabbit, and Ironhide a lion. Excited, but still kept in the dark for the most part keeping away from spoilers and really havent seen that many clips of the movie.
